Asthma
Asthma guidelines were updated as recently as 2007. The current goal of asthma therapy is to obtain excellent control. Patients with excellent control may be less likely to suffer severe attacks or permanent damage to the airways as the result of continued inflammation. If you use albuterol or your short acting reliever more than twice a week to relieve asthma symptoms or wake up at night with asthma symptoms, your control may not be adequate.
